General Year Theme

. . . with a lot of focus on your relationships in the first few months of the year, competing with equally important financial forces. For the first and only time in your lifetime you're moving into the New Year with Jupiter and Uranus, the planets of luck and synchronicity in your relationship sector, but with Jupiter moving into your financial sector on the 23rd January and Uranus on the 12th March this is where their focus will shift to.

With Chiron moving into your relationship sector on the 9th February and Neptune from the 5th April it's not going to be a case of your focus shifting from your relationships to your financial situation, with both remaining active. Even when Jupiter moves on from your financial sector on the 5th June and moves into a more adventurous part of your chart both the relationship and financial themes will continue.

In a show of how diverse this year is going to be, you will experience 6 eclipses this year, which are all tips of icebergs for much deeper themes in play. Of those eclipses 2 will fall in your home and family sector, 2 will fall in your career sector, one in your romantic sector and the other in your sector of friendship, teamwork and networking, with all these being themes that will have threads running throughout the year. The one thing that you can count on is that you won't get bored. This should also be a profitable year, with Saturn in your income sector for the whole of 2011.

Career and Business:

If a total lunar eclipse in your career sector just 4 days before Christmas shook things up, then the aftershocks are still likely to be reverberating as you move into the New Year. Even though the eclipse fell 12 days before the New Year began, something has shifted and you're likely to be moving forward aware that there are big changes ahead. While things will settle down on the career front after that, you're likely to be poised for aftershocks, for that eclipse and the others you'll experience this year really are change merchants. This was a precursor to the South Node's move into your career sector on the 4th March, where it will stay until the 30th August 2012.

During that time a natural pull away from situations that you've outgrown will be continual, with bursts of activity throughout the year giving things the right nudge at the right time. The next nudge won't be until the middle months of the year, when during a period when your career sector will be active, from the 21st May to the 3rd August, a solar eclipse on the 2nd June may open some unexpected doors or bring some unexpected opportunities.

This gives you time to focus on your job situation in the early weeks and months of the year, with Mars' return to your work sector on the 16th January giving wheels to a period of decision making that has been in progress for a while, for months and possibly even years. 2011 is likely to be the year when all of a sudden, after toying with ideas and dreams and having the nerve and then not having it, you're more likely to get impatient with yourself and 'just do it'.

That's more likely to happen while Mars is in your work sector, from the 16th January to the 23rd February, but more likely after the 9th February, which is when you'll finally have had a chance to confront your fears and conquer any old demons. Once things start to move on the job front they should continue to move with first Mars and then the Sun, Mercury and finally Venus keeping things active on the job front until the 27th March.

By which point the South Node will be in your career sector and so strong will the professional pull be that it will almost be like being on a conveyor belt, with a natural current doing all of the hard work. Love and Relationships:

As you move into the New Year both your romantic and relationship situations are vying for your attention, each urgent and insistent and each with more than enough evidence for why they warrant your full attention. Yet as urgent as things may seem on the romantic front, with Mars engaging your romantic passions and Pluto a sense of impatience and impulsiveness, it's your relationships that are the most urgent.

That's because Jupiter, planet of luck is coming to the end of his very stop/start and up/down visit to your relationship sector, which has brought a mix of both challenges and opportunities. But due to leave your relationship sector on the 23rd January and not to return for another 11 years and never again to spend time here with Uranus, Jupiter is creating some urgency in the early days of the year.

Any urgency is not to see things resolved but to put them on the right track, with the right belief in what's possible. With Uranus staying on in your relationship sector until the 12th March and the Sun, Mercury, Venus and Mars keeping things active from February right through to the 21st April, you'll have plenty of momentum. Jupiter and Uranus begin the year aligned in your relationship sector and will remain aligned until the 11th January, making starting the year off with the right intentions everything.

Yet as much as your relationships may demand and need your attention, there is some stiff competition from your romantic situation. The year begins with the Sun, Mars and Pluto in your romantic sector, with the Sun throwing light on the romantic passions that both Mars and Pluto are evoking, as they meet up here for only the second time in your lifetime.

With Mercury not even reaching your romantic sector until the 14th January and Venus, planet of love not until the 4th February, romantic opportunities will continue to blossom long after Jupiter leaves your relationship sector. Money and Finance:

If 2010 brought a huge amount of financial pressures, challenges and ups and downs, due to Saturn's opposition with both Jupiter and Uranus in the middle months of the year, then 2011 is the year when you're going to appreciate why that was. It was Saturn's return to your income sector on the 22nd July 2010 that put him in opposition with Jupiter, who had returned to your financial sector on the 5th June and Uranus who had returned on the 28th May 2010. That was enough to send Jupiter and Uranus into hiding, with both retrograding back out of your financial sector shortly after. Even then as the other planets moved through your income sector in July, August and September this created a lot of pressure. Yet this also cleared up anything that needed to be addressed and brought things back to bedrock, for while we usually live in fear of reaching rock bottom, it's the only place that will give you something strong and enduring to build on. That's where you are as you move into the New Year, ready for the rebuilding. Saturn is already rebuilding on the income front and here until October 2012 he's making 2011 one of your most powerful income years in decades. It's when Jupiter returns to your financial sector on the 23rd January that your luck kicks in, with Uranus returning on the 12th March to unleash a juggernaut of support that will continue on for years, with your financial sector continuously active from this point on until May 2038. Even an opposition between Jupiter and Saturn from the 27th March to the 1st April, which puts your income and financial sectors in opposition is more likely to empower you. With Jupiter leaving your financial sector on the 5th June, it's the first 5 months of the year that you'll be laying down the foundations for your financial future, with your focus on the big picture. But with Saturn in your income sector all year and your financial sector active from the 23rd January then all the way through to 2038, there is hardly a moment of the year when both won't be active. The most active period for financial matters as a whole will be from the 23rd January to the 5th June, and within that period a deeper period of activity from the 10th March to the 16th May.
