Love and Relationships:

I can almost imagine the love gods having a counsel in the heavens to decide who goes first, in what is a powerful year for both your relationships and your romantic situation. The relationship gods say to the romantic gods 'you go first', to which they reply 'no, you go first' and that's what will happen. Mars, planet of passion returned to your romantic sector on the 11th November 2011 for what should be a 6 week visit, but as you move into 2012 he's not only still here, he's digging in his toes and refusing to leave. On the 24th January, Mars will turn retrograde and in retrograde motion until the 14th April will open the door to second chances and an opportunity to revisit the past, with a chance to tap into old romantic passions, make up for lost time or to retrieve something lost or missing.

By the time Mars leaves your romantic sector on the 4th July he'll have been here for nearly 8 months, his longest visit in 47 years. Things may ease back a bit on the romantic front after that, giving you a chance to catch your breath, before a second wave kicks in with the Sun's return to your romantic sector on the 23rd August. Between then and the 29th October, a period of just over 2 months the Sun, Mercury and Venus will all move through your romantic sector, wrapping up what Mars started in the first half of the year. By this time relationship forces, fairly patient and willing to wait their turn in the first half of the year lose their patience, with the 30th August the day that relationship and romantic forces will begin battling for your attention.

For it's the North Node's return to your relationship sector on the 30th August and Saturn's on the 6th October that marks the beginning of a powerful new relationship chapter, one that won't run its course until 2015. Money and Finance:

Ever since the North Node moved into your financial sector and the South Node in your income sector on the 4th March 2011 you've been in a process of defining your bottom lines on the income front and reassessing your overall financial priorities and expectations. On both fronts, even when there was planetary activity in your income and financial sectors there was a sense that you were moving towards something and that something is 2012. On the financial front much has already been decided or assessed, with a lot of planetary activity in your financial sector, including a solar eclipse in November, having put most of your cards on the table. While Mercury is still in your financial sector as you move into 2012, he'll leave on the 8th January and with Mars not returning to your financial sector until the 7th October, Mercury until the 29th October, the Sun until the 22nd November and Venus not until the 16th December, with the North Node leaving on the 30th August the early days of the year are the important days for putting things on the track that you want them to continue on.

On the financial front most of your cards are already on the table and it's now more about staying on track. On the income front however, things are still a work in progress, with most of 2011 about developing a sense of what you don't want and a level playing field, ready to take things to the next level. For the reality is that 2012 is one of your biggest, luckiest, most expansive and auspicious income years on record and it all kicks off with Venus' return to your income sector on the 4th April. Normally spending around 3 ½ weeks in your income sector each year Venus boosts your confidence, a sense of entitlement, a strong sense of what you want and she triggers the laws of attraction. These are normally some of the most lucrative weeks in any given year. Except this year Venus will stay 4 months instead of 3 ½ weeks, not leaving until the 8th August.

It's while Venus is here that you'll experience a rare Venus eclipse, on the 6th June and just 6 days later, on the 12th June Jupiter, planet of luck will return to your income sector, kicking off your luckiest income year in over a decade, which won't run its course until June 2013. Career and Business:

On both the work and career fronts the focus this year is on tying up loose ends and putting things on the path or track that they will continue on, on the work front for decades to come but on the career front most probably for the rest of your professional life. Yet this is where the similarities end, for while forces on both fronts are working towards the same end results, their methods of getting there couldn't be more different. Yet despite the differences there is a huge amount of support between them. This puts you in an extremely good position as you move into 2012, with the confidence to take the coming year by storm, assuming from the get go that you own it. On the career front you have Neptune, planet of dreams and fantasies and on the work front you have pragmatic and stern Saturn, with one asking that you reach for the stars and the other that you keep your feet on the ground.

Yet they also move into the year at an extremely positive angle to each other, revealing that your professional dreams and pragmatism, attention to detail and willingness to do whatever it takes, for as long as it takes on the work front, are in fact flip sides to the same coin. As well as the fundamental difference on the career and work fronts, they also have different time agendas; for while you'll move into 2012 with Venus and Neptune in your career sector, defining your professional dreams and desires, Venus will be gone by the 14th January, Neptune by the 5th February and even the Sun and Mercury will move through, wrapping up their visits by the 19th February. So the first 7 weeks of the year are all about nailing your professional dreams, desires and objectives, not for the coming year but for the rest of your professional life, for Neptune won't return again in your lifetime.

Neptune won't return but you'll have the support to continue to work towards the professional dreams established in the early weeks of the year, that you have in fact been working on for the last 12 years. On the work front the agenda is a lot less urgent, with Saturn not leaving your work sector until the 7th October. In fact, the whole first half of 2012 is about working behind the scenes on the work front, slowly, surely and methodically working away at doing what needs to be done, even if that means out of the limelight.
