taurus year forecast 2009

At the same time that 2009 differs drastically from 2008 with a very different focus, the reality is that this change is neither sudden nor unexpected for you have finally reached a crossroad that you've been moving toward for the last decade. 2008 was a year of exploring your options, learning, growing and developing personally. It was a year when Jupiter, planet of luck, good fortune and expansion spent all year in your sector of travel, adventure, learning and discovery and as you begin 2009 he’s still there, along with half the solar system. This sees you begin the year with

and the desire to hold onto that holiday feeling for as long as you can. But just like you know that you can’t ignore your alarm clock in the morning, no matter how much you might want to, what is shaping up to be a huge professional year is already demanding your attention.

However, unlike when your alarm clock goes off and you have to get out of bed, the alarm clock that is sounding in your career sector doesn’t mean you have to abandon the adventurous spirit that as you move into 2009 the Sun, Mercury, Mars, Jupiter and Pluto are creating. For while during the first 6 weeks of 2009 all but Pluto will move on, the planet of change and revolution will remain. Having just moved in permanently at the end of November and here for the next 16 years, all he really needed from the other planets was a push start. Now that he’s got that, he’ll continue to bring a breath of fresh air into your life, making sure that you never again fall into a rut or fall asleep at the wheel. This also means that throughout 2009, the opportunity for adventure, learning, travel or discovery will never be too far away.

In the meantime though, you have a date with destiny, with events that have been building on the professional front since 1998, finally coming into their own.

You begin the year with Venus, Neptune, Chiron and the North Node all in your career sector, igniting dreams, ambitions and professional fantasies that by now you’re very familiar with. The dreams and the fantasies may be familiar, but the back up they have this time around is anything but.

Things begin to happen on Day 1 when Mercury, planet of communication and smart thinking, arrives in your career sector on the 1st January, giving you the strategic advantage that allows you to turn dreams into reality. Even this is usually a fleeting advantage, giving you a few weeks where you have a professional edge, especially with Venus moving out just a few days later, on the 4th January.

However, it’s just 2 days after that, on the 6th January and when the year is less than a week old, that life’s Wheel of Fortune turns your way and your time finally comes. It is then that Jupiter, planet of luck, good fortune and expansion, moves into your career sector, for the first time in 11 years and where he’ll stay for the rest of the year. This makes 2009 the luckiest professional year in over a decade, but there are even bigger forces at work that over the course of the coming year, create the kind of opportunities that allow you to turn dreams into reality, in a way that you haven’t seen for 150 years. In fact, the last time you had the professional advantages you have in 2009 was in 1863 and I’m betting that even your great grandparents weren’t in the work force then.

So believe me when I say that this is a huge professional year, a year when you really do have the chance to turn dreams into reality, for it’s not just Jupiter in your career sector all year but Neptune, planet of dreams and fantasy as well. It is Neptune that has been preparing for this year since he first moved into your career sector in 1998 and it’s the dreams he’s been evoking, that have finally found their time.

It is not just on the professional front that opportunities lie, it is in any situation where you're able to turn dreams into goals and goals into reality.

Even though Saturn still has a lot of work to do in your romantic and creative sector, including some major second chances in the first half of the year, he’ll move into your work sector in October, cementing your professional advantage even further. While Jupiter moves through your career sector once every 11 to 12 years, Saturn only visits your work sector once every 3 decades and to have them occupying both your professional houses at the same time, is a once in a lifetime opportunity. It seems the stars have all the bases covered, in this huge professional year.

Life isn’t going to be all work and no play though, for as well as Saturn continuing to ensure that you work on your love life and your creative passions, there is a lot happening on the home, family and property front, especially in the last 3 ½ months of the year.

Throughout the year Pluto is going to be your safety valve, ensuring that this huge professional year doesn’t fully engulf you and that you retain that sense of adventure and curiosity for life that will ensure that you keep an open mind and don’t fall victim to tunnel vision.

Work:
2009 is without a doubt not only your biggest professional year on record, it’s a year that whether you knew or were aware of it or not, you've been moving towards for the last decade. It’s ever since Neptune, planet of dreams and fantasies, moved into your career sector in 1998 that you’ve been developing dreams and goals that had nothing to do with your reality and everything to do with what you can imagine. Even when your dreams were challenged and life got in the way, they always bounced back as though they were made of cork, for no matter how many times life pushed them under, they bounced right back. This is the year when those dreams finally have a chance to fly. There isn’t a moment of the year when you can avoid tripping over opportunities, but there are times that need more of your attention, especially at the beginning of the year when Jupiter, planet of luck, arrives and for the first few months, until you settle into this new era. After that things will be self sustainable and won’t require quite the push they do now. The 26th January seems to be a very significant day, with a major clue or road marker revealing itself that sets the course for the coming year. Be especially alert to doors that open when and where you least expect.

Love:
While 2009 is a huge professional year, with Saturn remaining in your romantic sector until the end of October, you won’t get away with neglecting your love life. Saturn turns retrograde on the 1st January, so from Day 1 of the New Year he’s looking back, over ground already covered. Don’t be surprised if this creates a powerful sense of romantic nostalgia or a chance to revisit the past or reclaim lost opportunities. If it was any other planet than Saturn, there would be a word of caution about this, warning you against wearing your rose coloured glasses. But with Saturn in control that won’t be an issue, for Saturn deals only in reality. This could give you a chance to see the past differently, with a chance to eliminate old assumptions or rewrite your own history. While you can’t go back in time and change the past, rewriting your memories and perceptions of the past, is as good as the real thing. Once Saturn turns direct, in mid May, the focus turns to the future and making things happen and work, for once he leaves your romantic sector in October, he won’t be back again for another 3 decades.

Money:
With so much professional activity in your chart this year, there was always going to be some real financial opportunities, even though there is no major planetary activity in either of your money houses this year. Lucky and expansive career stars should start generating income and having an impact on your earnings and you should start seeing some returns or rewards by early May, if not before. Certainly don’t push anything before then, but of course you don’t want to turn away opportunities if they come earlier. It’s on the 1st May that things start to happen with both new income opportunities and also a chance to start catching up from any delays, in the first 4 months of the year. The most extreme income advantages come in July and August, which are the most lucrative months of the year. The main financial news of 2009 isn’t what is happening, rather what isn’t, with the financial challenges and the roller coaster ride of ups and downs of the past, now well and truly behind you.
