General Year Theme
Mars will normally only spend 6 weeks in your career sector, evoking your professional passions, drives and your determination to not only win, but to put everything you have into everything you do, doing whatever it takes for as long as it takes. However, Mars arrived on the 11th November 2011 and won't leave until nearly 8 months later on the 4th July 2012, his longest visit in 47 years. It's not just that Mars is in your career sector at the same time that Jupiter is in your work sector that makes this such a powerful professional year, especially in the first half of the year, but their relationship not only with each other but with Pluto in your income sector.
Yet while this creates some auspicious conditions on the work, career and income fronts that make this the year you've been working towards and the year that everything until now on the professional front will spring from, your personal life won't be going down without a fight.
Try as you might to make this a purely professional year, the love gods are sending in the heavy guns. If competitive and passionate Mars can spend 8 months in your career sector then Venus, planet of love is not only going to spend 4 months in your relationship sector, from the 4th April to the 8th August, she'll have untold support. That support includes a solar eclipse on the 21st May, an extremely rare Venus eclipse on the 6th June and Jupiter's return to your relationship sector on the 12th June. This is when the professional and love gods get together and reach a compromise, with your personal life dominating in the second half of the year. The first 9 months of the year are also important for friendship building and working in with others, building some strong alliances.

Career and Business:
2012 is the year that you've been waiting for, whether you've realised it or not, for it's the year that everything until now has been moving towards and everything from now will spring from. This makes this a defining professional year, but it's also one where things have been in play long before the New Year and in fact things have been falling into place since as far back as June 2011. It was on the 6th June 2011 that Jupiter, planet of luck and expansion returned to your work sector, kicking off your luckiest and most expansive year for work opportunities in over a decade. Yet as you move into 2012 this is still a work in progress, so much so that you literally have a chance to start over. That's because in the final months of 2011 Jupiter was in retrograde motion, retracing his steps, with his retrograde phase taking him right back to the very start of your work sector, creating an opportunity for a do over, this time with luck and hindsight on your side.
Jupiter only turned direct on the 26th December 2011, so in the early days of 2012 you're still in the early days of a comeback phase. With Jupiter not leaving your work sector until the 12th June and the most opportune months still to come, this would be enough to define this as a powerful professional year. But this is only half the story, for the other half of the story is that while Jupiter is bringing things together on the work front Mars, planet of passion, drive and ambition and the warrior planet of the cosmos is creating some spectacular opportunities on the career front. Mars returned to your career sector on the 11th November for what is normally a 6 week visit, aimed at creating a professional boost and a chance to both reengage your professional drives and passions and point them in the right direction. But Mars is not moving on and instead will stay until the 4th July, 3 weeks after Jupiter leaves your work sector.
This is Mars' longest visit to your career sector in 47 years, but it's his working relationship with both Jupiter in your work sector and Pluto in your income sector that sets the scene for a stunning first half of 2012 on all fronts. Yet while Jupiter and Mars are the driving forces on the work and career fronts, they are spearheads for plenty of back up support. You'll find the best opportunities and the most growth on the work front between the 5th March and the 24th May, while the most progress on the career front is most likely to happen after Mars leaves. Mars will achieve a lot while he's here, but this will trigger even more professional opportunities between the 23rd August and the 29th October. Click to find out more.

Love and Relationship
Powerful forces have been in play on both the romantic and relationship fronts for some time, with a total lunar eclipse in your relationship sector on the 10th December 2011 having an influence on your relationship experiences, reality and expectations before the year even begun. Yet until now, on the relationship front in particular, it's been about creating a level playing field, bringing things to a head, dealing with what you needed to and getting the past resolved. With 2012 holding huge relationship potential, 2011 was a year for distancing yourself from the past or freeing yourself from unauthentic relationships, ready for the real thing. That 'real thing' won't kick off until April, giving you a chance between then to enjoy the romantic conditions in play.
Uranus, planet of surprise and synchronicity has been in your romantic sector since May 2010 and won't leave until March 2019, so this is a journey that is still a work in progress. However, Venus' visit to your romantic sector between the 8th February and the 5th March, Mercury's two visits from the 3rd to the 24th March and again from the 17th April to the 9th May and the Sun's from the 20th March to the 20th April, gives you a chance to bring things up to speed. These are the most romantically charged weeks of 2012. Yet these are due to be dwarfed by the huge relationship opportunities that 2012 holds, which will begin before romantic forces have run their course, with a very auspicious cross over period. The relationship surge begins with Venus, planet of love's return to your relationship sector on the 4th April, where instead of staying for her normal 3 ½ weeks she will instead stay for 4 months, not leaving until the 4th August.
It's while Venus is in your relationship sector that you'll experience a very rare Venus eclipse on the 6th June, just 6 days before Jupiter, planet of luck returns to your relationship sector on the 12th June. This opens the door to your luckiest relationship year in over a decade, a year that won't run its course until June 2013. It's Venus' retrograde phase, from the 16th May to the 28th June that will open the door to second chances, at the same time that Mercury's visit from the 24th May to the 7th June and the Sun's from the 21st May to the 21st June, will open the door to new beginnings, especially around the time of a solar eclipse on the 21st May. Money and Finance:
While 2012 isn't a big money year, in that there are no sudden or dramatic highs or lows, what you have is sustainability and ongoing growth on the income front and just a short period midyear to bring things up to speed on the financial front. With Pluto, planet of change and revolution in your income sector from 2008 to 2024 there isn't a moment of 2012 that there isn't planetary activity here and that things aren't moving, as has been the case for several years and will be for several years to come. Pluto is a revolutionary, who refuses to see you settle for less, for the status quo or to settle for anything, even if that means pushing you out of your comfort zone.
Because Pluto is here for so long he operates in the background, so at some level at all times the revolution will continue. It's when there is other planetary activity in your income sector that they'll act as triggers and you'll find that you either have to put in more effort, that you'll have more developments on the income front or as is more likely the case, a bit of both.
You move into 2012 with Pluto in an active phase, with the Sun in your income sector until the 21st January and Mercury here from the 8th the 28th January. However, with Venus not visiting your income sector in 2012 and no New Moons here, the early weeks of the year are all about gaining enough momentum for the coming year. As Venus only left your income sector on the 21st December 2011 and you had a New Moon on Christmas Day, you're moving into the year aware of what you want, with a tailwind at your back and to spend the early weeks of 2012 working on your game plan. It's the Sun, Mercury and Venus' move through your financial sector midyear that will put pressure on Pluto, providing the kind of wake up calls that will keep you on track, while also giving you a chance to address things on the financial fronts.
The time to focus on your financial situation and your financial game as a whole is from the 7th June to the 22nd July and again from the 8th August to the 7th September. It's in November that you can expect things to pick up again on the income front, with Mars' return to your income sector from the 17th November to the 26th December likely to create some of the most driven and passionate income weeks in a 2 year period. It's then that Mars, planet of war and Pluto, planet of revolution, will come together to create some serious momentum and to break through any glass ceilings. These will be active and lucrative weeks on the income front, but you'll have until February 2013 to tie up all the loose ends. Click to find at more.
