capricorn year forecast 2009
If 2008 was your gateway year into a new future, then 2009 is the year when you reach the other side, with nothing in front of you but a future that spreads out in front of you, as far as the eye can see and from this vantage point, there are nothing but opportunities.

looking back through that gateway, to the challenges behind you, but why do that, when your future is waiting for you. You have only just reached the other side, with the last step that finally got you through that gateway only happening in the closing days of 2008, but however long it took you to get here, you're here now.

2009 is the one year, when from Day 1 you’re able to say with confidence that this is the first day of the rest of your life, knowing you have a line up of planets to support you. You begin the year with a line up of planets in your sign that includes the Sun, Jupiter, Pluto, Mercury and Mars, the planets of luck, change, communication and passion. This puts you at the start of not only a new calendar year, but a new solar year and a new Jupiter, Pluto, Mercury and Mars cycle. It is the tailwind and the advantage that comes from having so many planets in your sign and so many new beginnings taking place, that creates a wind that bangs the door to the past shut.

This line up of planets won’t stay in your sign and while this gives you a really good head start, this is not the theme that will dominate 2009, but Pluto will remain in your sign all year and beyond, keeping you on track and making sure that you remain true to yourself.

It’s on Day 1 of the New Year that Mercury, planet of communication, moves into your income sector, where he joins forces with any equally strong line up that already includes Venus, Neptune, Chiron and the North Node and from the 6th January Jupiter, planet of luck, good fortune and expansion. It is your income sector that is destined to be the luckiest and most expansive area of your chart in 2009, with all the financial advantages that go with it, along with a huge boost in confidence and expectations.

Your cosmic mates may be a little green with envy and over the course of the year you're likely to hear ‘you’re so lucky’ many times, but you know that luck has nothing to do with it. You've fought a courageous battle to get to this point, overcoming adversity and challenges, arriving at a point where you have already earned every advantage the coming year is set to bring and there are many.

Having Pluto in your sign gives you a sense of personal empowerment, with change in the air, so that you can adjust to a much more authentic path. It’s on the 26th January that the Chinese New Year begins, with the Year of the Ox an especially good year for Capricorns. Even Saturn, moving through your sector of travel, adventure, learning and discovery until the end of October, is in a supportive angle, giving you the confidence and permission to blow the walls right off your comfort zone and embrace your life to the full.

When Saturn leaves your career sector at the end of October he moves into your career sector, where he’ll bring some of the most important professional years in 3 decades and most probably of your working life. Until then this is a good year for training, getting as many skills and as much knowledge as you can, so that you not only know what path you want to take, but you're prepared and you have the right qualifications or life skills to do it.

Venus and Mars are both leaving indelible footprints on the year, both retrograding and both giving you a lot more opportunities than they normally would, including some second chances.

Venus gives some of this extra attention to your home and family sector, including new opportunities in January and February and second chances in April, but the majority of her time will be focused on your romantic and creative sector, where she’ll spend an incredible 4 months, from the 3rd February to the 6th June. This is going to put a romantic mark on the year that is going to colour the whole year, making this an especially good year for love. This is the planet of love’s chance to make up for the relationship challenges of last year.

It is Mars that is destined to have a huge impact, not only because he’s going to spend an epic 8 months in your financial sector, from October 2009 to June 2010, but because what is happening at the time. Mars is the planet of passion, drive and ambition and to spend even the 6 weeks he normally spends in your financial sector sees you come out fighting for what you want. To have the warrior of the cosmos here for 8 months turns an opportunity to go into battle, into full scale war. However, it’s the timing that is most important, for it happens when Jupiter and Neptune are dominating your income sector, creating one of your luckiest earning years on record.

The last time Mars brought this kind of advantage to your financial sector was 32 years ago and the last time Neptune and Jupiter were this united in your income sector was in 1863, nearly 150 years ago. Combined, this makes this the most important and potentially lucrative financial year on record, at a time when you're ready to embrace a whole new future.

Work:
Every lucky income year needs the job opportunities to compliment them and that’s what you have this year, with just the right amount of opportunities to go with them. It won’t be until May however that things start to happen on the job front, other than things that are already in motion and are still in the process of playing out. So don’t push things, but respond instead to opportunities that present. It’s a Full Moon in your career sector on the 10th April that grabs your attention and puts you on alert, creating a real line in the sand from which point on, for the rest of the year, there is professional activity at work. This is when the lead up to a major new era, that while it won’t begin until the end of October, is already getting your attention. To start with all the activity is in your work sector, with the Sun and Mercury arriving in May and Venus and Mars in July. Normally here for less than 3 weeks, Mercury will arrive on the 1st May, but after leaving and then returning, won’t leave for good until the 4th July. It is on the 26th August, the same day that Mars leaves your work sector that Mercury arrives in your career sector, transferring the balance of power away from your job situation and onto your professional situation as a whole. This is the Tipping Point, with things opening up on the professional front and staying that way, creating the perfect lead up to Saturn’s move into your career sector on the 30th October, beginning one of your most important professional eras in your lifetime and probably the pinnacle period in your working life.

Love:
Normally you begin the year with Venus, planet of love, already in your sign or yet to arrive, but this year she’s been and gone, creating a situation where you're moving into the year always aware of what you want and need for love. You don’t need to wait to see what the year has on offer and while your cosmic mates might be wondering what love has in store for them during 2009, you've already got your order in. This year you have swapped the relationship challenges of the past with some very real romantic opportunities, though you may have to wait a few months. While Venus moved through your sign ahead of schedule, she’ll reach your romantic sector behind schedule, because of a detour she’ll take in your home and family sector. This means she won’t reach your romantic sector until June, but you won’t have to wait that long. Mercury arrives in your romantic sector in April and will retrograde here, leaving and then returning, creating an opportunity for second chances and to take a trip down love’s memory lane, especially between the 14th and 29th May. Venus, along with Mars, planet of passion, makes up for lost time by creating some very romantic weeks through June and into the first half of July. By that time the Sun and Mercury will have already turned their focus onto your relationship sector, with both romantic and relationship opportunities dominating the middle months of 2009. There are two New Moons in your relationship sector this year, one on the 23rd June and the second, a total solar eclipse on the 22nd July, indicating some major new beginnings.

Money:
This is without a doubt one of your biggest money years ever, if not the biggest. Jupiter, planet of luck’s move into your income sector on the 6th January makes this your luckiest income year in over a decade, but what makes this bigger than any other lucky income year, which you experience once every 12 years, is the presence of Neptune, planet of dreams and fantasies. Neptune has been in your income sector since 1998, catching the last 6 days of Jupiter’s last visit to your income sector. This time around every moment that Jupiter will spend in your income sector is accompanied by Neptune, creating a situation where dreams and luck join forces, to make anything possible. The last time you had that advantage was in 1863, nearly 150 years ago. January and February are especially important months, for not only are you in the early and most enthusiastic phase of Jupiter’s transit through your income sector, this is being supported by the Sun, Mercury, Mars and Venus who will all pass through. For all but Venus, this will be while Jupiter is here. Venus, planet of money and desire leaves just 2 days before Jupiter arrives, her job of evoking your desires and triggering the laws of attraction done. So this is a huge money year, especially when it comes to your income.
