of good years and not so good years, when the balance between opportunities and challenges is either in balance or lop sided, then once in a life time you have a year when everything comes together to make this your moment, the year when everything makes sense, the year that everything before has been leading up to and everything afterwards will stem from.
For you that year is 2009 and it’s here!
It has been a very tough and winding road to get here and you've overcome all kinds of challenges and you still are, especially on the financial front, but this is being completely dwarfed by the advantages that are set to explode.
You move into 2009 with Venus, planet of love, desire and the laws of attraction already in your sign, so from Day 1 your heart is already in control and working with Neptune, Chiron and the North Node, so too is your imagination as well as an opportunity for healing and a very clear sense of direction.
Neptune, planet of dreams and fantasies has been in your sign since January 1998, inspiring your imagination and inspiring you to dream, despite the fact that life often got in the way. It was in 2005 that Chiron, planet of healing moved into your sign, but it wasn’t until the North Node moved into your sign in December 2007, that you really got your bearings.
That means that as you move into 2009 that you're ready to embrace your dreams and follow your heart and that’s before Jupiter, planet of luck and good fortune arrives in your sign, on the 6th January. It is then that not only does life’s Wheel of Fortune turn your way, beginning your luckiest year in over a decade, this is the start of a brand new Jupiter cycle of luck and expansion.
This is something that happens once every 11 to 12 years and it is these Jupiter cycles of luck and expansion that define our lives but never before, unless you were around in 1863, have you had Neptune and Jupiter working together to make dreams come true.
This is going to colour every aspect of your life, a year that while it’s an extremely lucky and expansive year, is more important because of the fact that this is the beginning of a whole new life phase and an extremely good phase at that.
Meanwhile Saturn will continue to dominate your financial sector, but as you move into the final 10 months of a 2 ½ year transit you know the ropes by now and so long as you keep things on track, there is nothing to suggest the financial challenges of the past will continue. You do have to play it safe, taking a prudent and cautious approach to your finances, but so long as you do that you’ll find that your financial situation grows and becomes stronger and more stable, for you're now a lot older and wiser!
Venus is paying your income sector some extra attention this year, moving in very early in the year, on the 4th January. She’ll point the other planets in the right direction, while at the same time triggering the laws of attraction. She will even return for a double dip visit in April, just to check that you're on track and to point ambitious Mars vibes in the right direction.
It is once Saturn leaves your financial sector in October that he moves into your sector of travel, adventure, learning and discovery, opening up a period where the world is set to become your oyster, with a huge period of learning, growth and discovery opening up, as well as a lot of support.
2009 is a year when a lot of your old challenges will be resolved and in particular on the relationship front, though that won’t be until later in the year. On the 17th October Mars reaches your relationship sector and instead of staying the normal 6 weeks he normally stays here, he’ll spend an epic 8 months, the longest time that this warrior planet of the cosmos has spent in your relationship sector in 32 years. It is this period, between October 2009 and June 2009 that things will come to a head and when you have the power to create the kind of relationships you want. Let things take their own course until then, for this is your year and it’s about you.
Work:
The first thing you'll learn about having Jupiter, planet of luck in your sign, is that you don’t have to work as hard to make things happen and that a little bit of effort goes a long way. With no activity in either your work or career sectors until towards the middle of the year, give yourself time to adjust to this new era. Mars, planet of passion, drive and ambition moves through your sign from the 5th February to the 15th of March and it’s during this time that the goals and quests for the coming year will be created. Stay out of the way and don’t get so bogged down in the details of making it happen, that you interfere with bold dreams or that you end up not giving lucky Jupiter vibes a chance to make things happen. While Mars returns to your sign once every 2 years, the last time you had Jupiter and Mars, the planets of luck and of passion, drive and ambition in your sign at the same time, was in 1998. These 6 weeks then are crucial, not just for setting and launching goals and dreams for the coming year, but for the next decade. It’s not until June that there is activity in your work sector, when between then and the end of October the Sun, Mercury, Venus and Mars all move through your work sector. During this period there are two New Moons in your work sector, one on the 23rd June and a total solar eclipse on the 22nd July, indicating some major new job opportunities around that time. October and November hold the best career opportunities, with the 17th November being a significant day for professional matters, with new beginnings likely.
Love:
Beginning the year with Venus, planet of love and romance, in your sign has to be seen as a good omen, for what the rest of the year holds. If this really is your lucky year, which it is, then it stands to reason that this will include your love life. You are in a bit of a honeymoon period as you move into 2009, with the relationship challenges of the past behind you, but with some significant relationship developments that will once again require your attention, not arriving until the second half of the year, giving you an opportunity at the beginning of the year, to take a break from reality and indulge your romantic fantasies. Venus won’t stay in your sign long, leaving on the 4th January, just 4 days into the New Year, but it’s the sense of direction she’s giving your heart that sets the tone for the coming year. May through to July are especially romantic months, with July in particular holding a lot of romantic passion. It’s on the 18th July, while Venus and Mars, the planets of love and passion, are still in your romantic sector that Mercury moves into your relationship sector, once again turning your attention back to your relationships. Between then and the end of September the Sun and Venus will follow, with a need to work with them, paying attention to the Sun’s reality check and what your heart is telling you. That’s because on the 17th October Mars, planet of passion, moves into your relationship sector. Normally here for 6 weeks, this is usually a double edged sword, that for that amount of time you're able to balance between Mars’ passion and his war like tendencies. However, he’s here for 8 months, from October 2009 to June 2010, bringing one of the biggest relationship shake ups in 3 decades. Deal with the issues before then while they’re manageable, so that you're able to make this a time of passion.
Money:
2009 is an important money year, for you are now in the final stage of a 2 year Saturn transit that began in September 2007. Saturn is the planet that brings us our challenges, not because he likes to make things hard, but because he raises the bar and expects more than ever. The things you may have got away with in the past, you can’t when Saturn is in your financial sector, for he uses every chance he can to deliver a lesson in Financial Management 101. He turns retrograde on New Years Day and will stay in retrograde motion until the 17th May. While this gives you a chance to resolve old financial issues or situations, even gaining from where you may have missed out in the passed, it does bring a period where you have to be cautious and take your time, taking a measuring once and cutting twice approach to all financial situations. This doesn’t mean that there is financial danger, it just means that you have to slow down and think things through, reading contracts or agreements before signing them and being cautious about spending what you don’t have. Yet despite that or maybe because of it, because you’re becoming extremely astute and savvy, this is a very good financial year. Venus moves into your income sector on the 4th January and between then and mid February the Sun, Mercury and Mars all lend their support, with income opportunities opening up right through to the end of April. It’s in August that the build up to Saturn’s departure from your financial sector begins, with a lot more attention to your financial situation as a whole required, as you move towards October and what is a real breakthrough month.
